The Huskies Picnic will be held on the 24 June 2007, at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens.  This is a fun-filled day of activities and entertainment for the whole family.  The program commences at 10am and finishes at 4pm

This year’s program is jam packed with entertainment and a raft of new activities from start to finish.  You can see demonstrations of real working huskies, beautiful ice sculptures by Kenji, one of the worlds leading artists in ice carving, and be entertained by a myriad of performers.

Just some of the activities that children of all ages can get involved in this year include:

March of the Penguins

For those of you who like to get involved, you can create your very own penguin mask at the picnic and then join in the “March of the Penguins” through the Gardens.

Beanie Fest

On those cold winter nights leading up to the Huskies Picnic, you could knit a masterpiece - and wear it on your head! Enter our Beanie Fest to find the craziest, most creative and unique beanie at the picnic.  You could win a prize in one of three categories, junior, youth and adult.  To enter just show up on the day wearing your beanie, judging is at 1pm.

Sled Race

If you are really daring, download an entry form and enter a team in the Huskies Picnic Sled Race – guaranteed to get your heart pumping and you laughing -  a crazy race where you make the sled and you are the husky!

Entry fees are $5 for adults and $2 for children.
